Opened in 2005, Seoul Forest is a vast urban park spanning approximately 495,868.5 square meters. It is a tranquil retreat where people of all ages can experience nature within the city. When cherry blossoms and tulips bloom in the spring, the forest is filled with families, couples, and friends enjoying outings together. In the fall, it becomes a popular spot for people to enjoy music festivals amidst the cool breeze. Even in summer and winter, Seoul Forest remains a bustling green haven whenever the weather is good.Seoul Forest has five theme parks: the Cultural and Arts Park, the Eco Forest, the Experiential Learning Park, the Wetland Eco Center, and the Hangang Riverside Park Project. The first theme park, the Cultural and Arts Park, offers a variety of leisure activities. It includes a gateball court, a forest playground, a family yard with a large lawn, a statue of a military horse, a ground fountain, and an atelier. The second theme park, the Eco Forest, is designed to recreate a natural forest where wild animals and plants can coexist. The third theme park, the Wetland Eco Center, consists of eco-friendly wellness spaces such as an environmental playground, an outdoor nature classroom, and a water purification garden. The fourth theme, the Experiential Learning Park, includes features like the Keeper’s Forest, Butterfly Garden, and Insect Garden. The fifth theme, the Hangang Riverside Park Project, has the Seoul Forest Quay and bike paths. Additionally, various unique gardens like the Garden of Excitement, the Bee Garden, and the Bench Garden have been added through donations from individuals and corporations, transforming Seoul Forest into an even more attractive space each year.
